Not wanting to get stuck in a rut and coast into middle age, I decided to try at least fifty new things in 12 months – it was such good fun that I am going to keep going and say Yes to more new experiences !

Pokemon Go or Pokemon Stop and Stare?

Like everyone else I have started to play Pokemon Go! This was the scene today at the beautiful Ipswich Waterfront, where, instead of people strolling around enjoying the lovely sunshine and looking at expensive yachts, they were all clustered around staring at their phones waiting for Pokemon to pop up!

At least it gets teenagers such as Libby out of their bedrooms and away from the computer! It also is something she can do with her older brother and cousins.

We also had another walk later to the local Library ( a pokestop) where someone had set up a lure and there were around 6 or 7 cars full of young people sitting and chatting together.

49. Visited the Constable Exhibition at Christchurch Mansion

Mum and I visited the free exhibition of John Constable paintings in Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich - which included portraits of his family, many views from his home and of Flatford Mill in Suffolk. They range from small sketches to the huge 6 foot painting of Salisbury Cathedral

Well worth going if you get the chance - exhibited in Ipswich until Jan 2016. I'm nearly at the end of my 50/50 experiences and have enjoyed doing something a bit different over the last year (except breaking my toe!)

Hoping to do the last New Experience on my 51st birthday this Sunday in the Isle of Wight - no idea what it will be at the moment!

28. Wacky bet online

Whilst I do the national lottery regularly - I am not a  regular gambler and don't think I have every been inside a bookies!

So, I decided to recklessly gamble £10 online and see what happens. I signed up with sky bet because you get a free £20 bet for new customers. I have put £5 on Ipswich to win the playoffs and then looked around what else I could bet on - so I chose Italian volleyball!

£3 has gone on Pomi Casclmaggiore Womens team to win and £2 on Modena mens volleyball - good luck to them both!

Finally I squandered my free £20 bet on a greyhound called Southpaw Outlaw at 4.37pm this afternoon - just because I am left-handed. I have just looked up his form, he has only won three times in his last 30 races, so I don't hold out a lot of hope!

UPDATE ...... The greyhound lost but both the Italian Volleyball bets won and I now have £10.88 - just waiting for ITFC to win the playoffs now!

3. An Aqua Massage

I received a voucher for an aqua massage from Angie & Ray as part of my birthday present, so today I went and used it - what an amazing experience!

You lie face down on a massage table and a hood is lowered over you. Inside the hood are jets of warm water that travel up and down your body a bit like a car in a car wash. However you are protected by a thick plastic sheet so don't have to get undressed or get wet!! aquamassagexl250-no-background.jpg

The 10 minute session went so quickly and apparently is equal to a 30 minute hand massage.

I shall definitely be back to Invigr8 in Foxhall Road, Ipswich for another session!
